Agapitos Diakogiannis
Lecturer in Psychiatry and Neurology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He had three meetings with Aristidis Pagratidis.
The first took place on the first night of the preliminary interrogation at the police, after Pagratidis's attack on the orphanage on December 7th 1963, when he was officially asked to go to the police station during the interrogation.
The second meeting occurred on December 14th 1963 under the same circumstances, with the psychiatrist again summoned to the police station.
The third meeting took place on December 16th 1963 at Diakogiannis's clinic for an electroencephalogram (EEG) required to compile the expert opinion report.
Diakogiannis was never alone with Pagratidis (who was continuously handcuffed) during any of these psychiatric evaluations. All meetings, including the EEG which took place in his own medical lab, were conducted in the presence of police officers, specifically Pagratidis’s interrogators from the police, such as Klonaris and Charitos.
